Common Mallow (Gurchanti)

This is an important famine crop. Almost all the parts of this weed are edible. It is rich in polysaccharides and antioxidants. The leaves are a great source of vitamins A, B1, B2, C and It is also rich in Calcium, magnesium. Potassium, iron, zinc and selenium.

The leaves can be chopped finely and sauteed in oil with onions and garlic for a great side dish.
