Wood Sorrel ( Amrul, Changeri)
The leaves and shoots of wood sorrel can be used in salads, soups, sauces and as a seasoning. It has a mild sour flavour much like a lemon. It is refreshing to eat raw. The flowers and immature seed pods are edible also. It is an incredible thirst quencher.
Wood Sorrel Tea
Place 1 tablespoon of wood sorrel leaves, flowers and/ seed pods in a cup. Fill cup with boiling water. Allow to steep for upto half an hour. Strain, sweeten to taste and enjoy this refreshing drink.
