Literati or Bunjin Style
- Traditionally Literati bonsai have trunks that twist and turn in multiple curves, usually have thin trunks which have no lower branches to speak of, and have an obvious lack of Nebari in most cases.
- There is no fixed pattern for this style though it has a shape and a form..
- It is closer to Informal Upright style but lacks a Nebari and lower branches. The foliage of a Literati is kept sparse, just enough to sustain the tree and keep it healthy.
